Reiki Healing & Support Circle for People Living With Cancer
(and their Caregivers)
What is Reiki?
 Reiki is a Japanese word that means “Universal” (Rei) “Vital Life Force” (Ki). Reiki healing is an ancient laying on of hands technique using non-invasive gentle touch. It releases blockages in the energy centers of the subtle body accelerating the body‘s natural healing process.
Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental
and spiritual imbalances.
The Reiki practitioner serves as a vessel through which the healing energy is transmitted. When called upon, the Reiki energy fills the practitioner, flowing out through his or her hands to where it is most needed in the client, healing and harmonizing the body system.
Reiki Complements Cancer Treatment
Reiki as a form of energy medicine has been evaluated in many clinical trials. Memorial Sloan Kettering now offers Reiki to cancer patients together with conventional medicine. Patients have found that it significantly eases the side effects of chemotherapy treatment reporting less pain, nausea, and stomach upset, an increased sense of well-being, improved immune function, and a more positive attitude.
Reiki healing circles can support the person during treatment and in the post-cancer recovery process.
Ongoing Reiki Healing & Support Circles (3rd Thursday)
In a gentle and caring group setting you will experience Reiki treatment along with guided relaxation techniques that are soothing to the body, mind, soul and spirit. Promoting inner peace, calmness, and serenity. Each circle will uniquely support your healing journey.
This healing circle for people living with cancer or who have a cancer history and their caregivers is also open to the wider community.
Reiki is not used to cure cancer or in place of treatment. It is a complementary therapy used to ease the emotional and physical side effects of treatment.
Metamorphic Me are specially designed programs that provide support to people living with cancer and their caregivers through healing circles, individual counseling, and small group counseling formats.
